heal.abstract Measurements of the reflection coefficient of mobile antennas operating at 900 MHz and 1800 MHz in an anechoic chamber and in a real indoor environment were performed. Calculation of the standard deviation for each sample showed that the deviation is increased by the presence of dielectric scatterers, apparently due to multipath fading phenomena. The statistical behavior of the reflection coefficient was investigated by comparing its cumulative distribution function (CDF) with other known CDFs in terms of goodness of fit. A model based on the incomplete gamma function was created which incorporated the experimental results. en
