heal.abstract This paper, proposes a simple model for the study of the dynamic response of multi-span steel bridges on high pylons subjected to the action of earthquake motion spatially varied. The analysis is carried out with the use of modal modes while the solution of the gathered integral-differential equations is solved through the use of Galerkin's method and Laplace's transformation. Illustrative examples are presented and useful conclusions are gathered. © 2006 Taylor & Francis Group. en
