The paper proposes a flexible Terrestrial Digital TV network that complies with the requirements and needs of the video broadcasting in the Olympic games. Interactivity is a prime concern for the system that enables ""Rate card users"" to request video services on demand in the parallel transmission to IP regardless the venue location. Interactivity is achieved through a dedicated return channel terrestrial that enables Rate card users to watch live and recorded, feeds from different venues simultaneously. Therefore a hybrid system is constructed and its novelty arisen due to fixed, portable and mobile reception capabilities it offers to the End users. |
