heal.abstract	Η συγκεκριμένη διάλεξη αναφέρεται στην εμπειρία των πόλεων με τις πανδημίες ως την εκτυλισσόμενη πανδημία του κορονοϊού, διερευνώντας τον ρόλο του σχεδιασμού στην εκάστοτε φάση αντίληψης και ερμηνείας της σχέσης υγείας και δομημένου περιβάλλοντος. Επιλέγονται παραδείγματα των προηγούμενων δύο αιώνων, κομβικά στη διαμόρφωση του χώρου των πόλεων με γνώμονα την υγεία, από την κλίμακα του αστικού χώρου σε αυτή της κατοικίας. Το 19ο αιώνα, με τα βιομηχανικά κέντρα ως επίκεντρο της χολέρας, γίνεται η αναγνώριση της σύνδεσης μεταξύ δομημένου περιβάλλοντος και ασθένειας. Ο σχεδιασμός δίνει απαντήσεις που διαμόρφωσαν τα αστικά τοπία και το χώρο κατοίκησης, θέτοντας τις βάσεις της υγιεινής. Τον 20ο αιώνα, η φυματίωση συνδέθηκε άμεσα με την ανάδυση του μοντέρνου κινήματος στην αρχιτεκτονική και πολεοδομία. Γενικό αίτημα αποτελεί ο εκσυγχρονισμός της κοινωνίας με την εξάλειψη της ασθένειας, οπότε και ο σχεδιασμός αποκτά ρόλο κοινωνικό, με την έννοια του «καθαρού» να διαπερνά κάθε κλίμακά του. Περνώντας στο παράδειγμα της Αθήνας, εξετάζεται το αν και κατά πόσο, με αντίστοιχο τρόπο, η υγεία εντάχθηκε στο σχεδιασμό, με απώτερο στόχο ένα ισορροπημένο αστικό περιβάλλον. Η προκείμενη συνθήκη που αντιμετωπίζεται παγκοσμίως έφερε στις πόλεις νέες προκλήσεις. Έτσι, αναπτύχθηκε μία διαδικτυακή ανταλλαγή ιδεών στο χώρο του σχεδιασμού και της αρχιτεκτονικής σκέψης, με πληθώρα προτάσεων και έναν πλουραλιστικό διάλογο, ώστε να απαντηθούν υπάρχοντα και νέα ζητήματα του χώρου για την μετά- covid εποχή.	el
heal.abstract	This research study examines how cities have experienced pandemics through time, up until the current coronavirus crisis, by way of exploring the role of planning in each interpretive phase of the relationship between health and the built environment. The examples chosen from the past two centuries are pivotal in shaping cities geared towards health, from the scale of urban space to that of the residence. In the 19th century, when industrial cities were in the epicenter of cholera, the link between built environment and disease was identified. Planning gave answers that shaped the urban landscapes and the living space by laying the foundations of hygiene. In the 20th century, tuberculosis was directly connected to the emergence of the modern movement in architecture and urban planning. There was a core demand for the modernization of society by combating the disease, in which case planning acquired a social role and the idea of “clean” penetrated every scale. Moving on to the case of Athens, it is reviewed whether and to what extent health was a key factor within the design process, aiming to form a balanced urban environment. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, cities were faced with new challenges. Thus, an immediate exchange of ideas in the field of design and architectural thinking was developed, with a plethora of proposals and a pluralistic dialogue, in order to find solutions to existing and new issues in the field of space for the post-covid era.	en
