heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της παρούσας Διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η επανάχρηση του βιομηχανικού συγκροτήματος Κυλινδρόμυλων (πρώην εργοστάσιο αλευροποιίας) στο λιμάνι της Καλαμάτας και πολεοδομικές παρεμβάσεις στην περιοχή της Μαρίνας. Αναλύεται μέσα από πολεοδομικούς χάρτες η πολεοδομική εξέλιξη της Καλαμάτας, καθώς επίσης και η περιοχή μελέτης - η περιοχή της Μαρίνας (όπου βρίσκεται και το κτιριακό συγκρότημα) και προτείνονται βασικές παρεμβάσεις με στόχο την εξυπηρέτηση των κατοίκων και την καλύτερη ενεργοποίηση της νέας χρήσης του κτιρίου στην περιοχή, όπως η σύνδεση του δικτύου του ποδηλατοδρόμου στο μέτωπο του λιμανιού και η πεζοδρόμηση βασικού δρόμου για την σύνδεση του υπαίθριου χώρου του κτιρίου με αντίστοιχους της περιοχής. Παράλληλα, μελετάται ιστορικά η πορεία λειτουργίας του εργοστασίου και οικοδομικά το υπάρχον κέλυφος και η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση του κτιριακού συγκροτήματος και προτείνονται αντίστοιχα επεμβάσεις αποκατάστασης ανάλογα με τις φθορές των υφιστάμενων, ενίσχυση φέροντος οργανισμού με μεταλλική κατασκευή και νέοι όγκοι από μεταλλική κατασκευή. Στόχος της επανάχρησης είναι να παραμείνει ο συνθετικός χαρακτήρας του κτιρίου με τα ανοίγματα δίνοντας μια πιο μοντέρνα συνθετική πρόταση και πιο οικεία στους κατοίκους και στους επισκέπτες. Ο χώρος παραγωγής του παλιού εργοστασίου, λοιπόν, μετατρέπεται σε έναν δημόσιο χώρο ενημέρωσης και εκμάθησης πάνω στην βιομηχανική ιστορία των Κυλινδρόμυλων και γενικότερα της Καλαμάτας στεγάζοντας χώρους εκθέσεων, εργαστηρίων, χώρους εκδηλώσεων και βιβλιοθήκες.	el
heal.abstract	The object of this Diploma Thesis is the reuse of the industrial complex of Cylindrical Mills (former flour mill) in the port of Kalamata and urban interventions in the area of Marina. The urban development of Kalamata is analyzed through urban maps, as well as the study area - the area of Marina (where the building complex is located) and basic interventions are proposed in order to serve the residents and to better activate the new use of the building in area, such as the connection of the bicycle path network in front of the port and the pedestrianization of the main road for the connection of the urban space of the building with those of the area. At the same time, the course of operation of the factory and the construction of the existing shell and the existing condition of the building are studied historically and restoration interventions are proposed depending on the damage of the existing ones, reinforcement of a load-bearing structure with metal construction and new volumes of metal construction. The aim of the reuse is to keep the synthetic character of the building with the openings, giving a more modern synthetic proposal and more familiar to the residents and the visitors. The production area of the old factory, therefore, is transformed into a public information and learning space on the industrial history of the Cylindrical Mills and Kalamata in general, housing exhibition spaces, workshops, event spaces and libraries.	en
