heal.abstract	Σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας, αποτελεί η ψηφιακή δημιουργία του τριδιάστατου (3D) μοντέλου του γλυπτού του ″Δρομέα″, ενός επιβλητικού έργου του διάσημου Έλληνα γλύπτη Κώστα Βαρώτσου, η δημιουργία ψηφιακών σχεδίων των τομών του καθώς και η δημιουργία μιας ψηφιακής Βάσης Δεδομένων για το γλυπτό, στην οποία θα μπορεί να παρεμβαίνει ο χρήστης και να ενημερώνει ή να επεξεργάζεται τα δεδομένα της. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας, αναφέρονται λίγα λόγια για τη ζωή του γλύπτη Κώστα Βαρώτσου, τις σπουδές του, τα καλλιτεχνικά ερεθίσματά του, τις ανησυχίες του και το πρώτο του έργο από γυαλί που αποτέλεσε ορόσημο της καλλιτεχνικής του ταυτότητάς (τα γυάλινα γλυπτά) και την αφετηρία της λαμπρής διεθνούς καριέρας του. Επιπλέον, παρουσιάζεται η ιστορία και οι μεταβολές έκθεσης και τοποθέτησης που διήλθε το γλυπτό ″Δρομέας″ μέχρι να φτάσει στη σημερινή του τοποθεσία στην πλατεία της Μεγάλης του Γένους Σχολής, μπροστά από το ξενοδοχείο Hilton στην Αθήνα. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο, περιγράφεται με σχετική λεπτομέρεια το γενικό θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο της διπλωματικής εργασίας και όλων των εργασιών που πρόκειται να εφαρμοστούν στην πράξη παρακάτω. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο, αναλύονται όλες οι τεχνικές διεργασίες που ακολουθήθηκαν για την παραγωγή του τριδιάστατου μοντέλου του γλυπτού. Ερευνάται η χρήση τριών διαφορετικών λογισμικών προγραμμάτων για την επίτευξη του ίδιου σκοπού με τη χρήση διαφορετικών μέσων και δεδομένων και τέλος επιλέγεται το πιο πρόσφορο τριδιάστατο ψηφιακό μοντέλο για τη χρήση του και αξιοποίησή του σε περαιτέρω διεργασίες και έρευνες. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, παρουσιάζεται σύντομα η σημασία της ύπαρξης σχεδίων τομών για τη γεωμετρική τεκμηρίωση των μνημείων και γενικότερα οποιουδήποτε αντικειμένου, καθώς επίσης παρουσιάζονται αναλυτικά οι τεχνικές διαδικασίες που ακολουθήθηκαν για τη δημιουργία αυτών των τομών για το γλυπτό του Δρομέα. Στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο, επεξηγείται η σημαντικότητα ύπαρξης μιας ορθής και εμπεριστατωμένης Βάσης Δεδομένων για τα μνημεία, κτήρια, θρησκευτικούς χώρους, ιστορικά και καλλιτεχνικά αντικείμενα, κτλ. για την ολοκληρωμένη τεκμηρίωση της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς που αντιπροσωπεύουν, αλλά και του τόπου και χρόνου προέλευσής τους. Επιπλέον, επεξηγούνται οι διαδικασίες που ακολουθήθηκαν για τη δημιουργία μια απλής μορφής Βάσης Δεδομένων που περιέχει γεωμετρικές (ύψος, σχέδια τομών κ.α.), εννοιολογικές (τοποθεσία, υλικά, απεικόνιση όψεων, κατόψεων κ.α.) και μετεωρολογικές πληροφορίες για το γλυπτό και παρουσιάζονται τα αποτελέσματα αυτά. Στο έκτο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο, παρουσιάζονται τα συμπεράσματα της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας. Επιπλέον, παρατίθενται προτάσεις αξιοποίησης τόσο της εργασίας αυτής όσο και των ουσιαστικών αποτελεσμάτων που προέκυψαν κατά τη διάρκειά της (3D μοντέλο, σχέδια τομών, Βάση Δεδομένων για το γλυπτό του Δρομέα). Οι προτάσεις αξιοποίησης εκτείνονται από πιθανούς εμπορικούς σκοπούς, έως επεκτάσεις σε άλλες επιστημονικές εργασίες. Ακόμη, συζητούνται και διαφορετικοί τρόποι αντιμετώπισης ή πιθανής βελτίωσης λύσεων που προτάθηκαν για τα προβλήματα που προέκυψαν στην πορεία της εργασίας αυτής.	el
heal.abstract	The purpose of this diploma thesis is (a) the digital creation of the three-dimensional (3D) model of the ″Dromeas″ sculpture (means ″Runner″ in Greek), an imposing work of the famous Greek sculptor Kostas Varotsos, (b) the creation of digital CAD drawings of its intersections and (c) the creation of a digital database for the sculpture, in which the user can intervene and update or process its data. In the first chapter of this thesis, a few words are mentioned about the life of the sculptor Kostas Varotsos, his studies, the artistic stimuli during his career, his concerns and his first work of art completely made out of glass that was a landmark of his artistic identity (glass sculptures) and the starting point of his brilliant and international career. In addition, they are mentioned the history and the changes of exhibition and placement that the sculpture went through until it reached its current location in the square ″Megali tou Genous Scholi″, situated in front of Hilton hotel in Athens, are briefly described. In the second chapter, is described the general theoretical background of the dissertation and all the work to be applied in practice during the following chapters are described in detail. In the third chapter, are analyzed all the technical processes followed for the production of the three-dimensional (3D) model of the sculpture are analyzed. The use of three different software programs to achieve the same goal with the use of different media and data is explored and finally the most appropriate three-dimensional digital model is selected to be utilized and exploited in further studies and research. In the fourth chapter, it is presented the importance of the existence of geometric CAD documentation drawings for the conservation processes of any object in general is presented. Also, it is presented the detailed technical procedures followed for the creation of this type of drawings for the sculpture of Dromeas, as well as the final products are described. In the fifth chapter, the importance of creating a correct, comprehensive and thorough database on monuments, buildings, religious sites, historical and artistic objects etc. is explained, for the purpose of presenting their place and time of origin to a cohort of people and in general for preserving the cultural heritage. Furthermore in, during this chapter are explained the technical procedures that were followed for the creation of a simple database that contains geometrical (height, CAD drawing of sections etc.), conceptual (location, materials used, views, otherviews and plans) and meteorological information for the concerned sculpture are explained and also the final results are displayed. In the sixth and final chapter, the conclusions of this diploma thesis are presented. In addition, some they are presented proposals for the utilization of both this study and the results obtained upon its completion (3D model, CAD drawings, database for the Dromeas sculpture) are made. The exploitation proposals span from potential commercial purposes to extensions to possible further scientific work. Moreover, different ways of addressing or potentially improving the methods used herein, are also discussed.	en
