heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία για την ολοκλήρωση των σπουδών της σχολής των Μηχανολόγων Μηχανικών του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου, έχει ως στόχο την εξέταση του ρόλου των πράσινων πιστοποιήσεων στο δομημένο περιβάλλον και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο αυτές συμβάλλουν στη βιωσιμότητα, την ενεργειακή απόδοση και την ποιότητα των κτιρίων. Στο πλαίσιο της εργασίας εξετάζονται και αναλύονται πέντε διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένα συστήματα πιστοποίησης: LEED, BREEAM, WELL, EDGE και Passive House. Αρχικά, παρουσιάζεται το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο των πράσινων πιστοποιήσεων και η προσφορά τους στον σύγχρονο κτιριακό τομέα. Στην συνέχεια, κάθε πιστοποίηση αναλύεται ξεχωριστά ως προς την φιλοσοφία, τα κριτήρια αξιολόγησης, τα έργα στην χώρα μας, την διαδικασία πιστοποίησης και την καταλληλότητα τους ανά περίπτωση. Τέλος, εξετάζεται η εφαρμογή του κατάλληλου κριτηρίου επάνω σε ένα σχολικό κτίριο, λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν τις ανάγκες του συγκεκριμένου παραδείγματος και αξιολογώντας την βέλτιστη επιλογή πράσινης πιστοποίηση για αυτό.	el
heal.abstract	This diploma thesis for the completion of the studies at the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens aims to examine the role of green certifications in the built environment and the way in which they contribute to sustainability, energy performance and the quality of buildings. Within the scope of this thesis five internationally recognized certification systems are examined and analyzed: LEED, BREEAM, WELL, EDGE and Passive House. Initially, the theoretical background of green certifications and their contribution to the contemporary building sector is presented. Subsequently, each certification is examined separately in terms of its philosophy, assessment criteria, projects in Greece, certification process and its suitability on a case-by-case basis. Finally, the application of the appropriate criterion to a school building is examined, taking into account the requirements of the specific case study and assessing the optimal green certification choice for it.	en
