Some operating procedures are discussed that are available in distribution systems and that permit local generation plants to supply the load which cannot be supplied by the system bulk supply points during outage conditions. Analytical and computational techniques which simulate the operational behavior of these local generating facilities are described. The increased information that can be gained from these improved techniques is illustrated by the analysis of a typical distribution system. |
