An interactive data management system is presented which provides efficient facilities for centralized administration and handling of the bulk of data required for power system planning studies. The system is interfaced to a group of analytical programs and integrated into the GINA (graphics-aided interactive network analysis) power system analysis package. The data management system operates in a user-friendly environment provided by the use of graphical routines, menus of option, and an online help system. Efficient organization of the filing system provides economical storage of the information combined with satisfactory retrieval speed. |
