A procedure is presented for deriving a canonical state space model of the Roesser type for linear SISO 3-dimensional systems. This model is analogous to a well established 2-dimensional model and has equal or lower dimensionality than other 3-D models previously reported. The proposed model can almost be derived by inspection. The proposed technique is successfully applied to two examples. |
