heal.abstract |
A proper gradual condensation of the finite element mesh around singularities is obtained by using a mapping technique. This technique is based on the construction of special singular shape functions. An advantage of the method is that it is entirely automatic and has not the drawbacks of a similar previous method. © 1990. |
