A computational methodology for improving the reliability performance of power substations is presented. Fault identification techniques have been developed to detect electrical component failures very early. The available operating actions following a detected component failure are deduced. A supply reliability index of substation load-points is introduced and evaluated. The application of the developed methodology on a typical Hellenic high-voltage substation is also presented. |
