Ways of reducing the asbestos content of fibre-reinforced composites are studied. It is shown that combinations of treated asbestos fibres with carbon and/or aramid fibres may be used to reduce the asbestos content is asbestos-only based engineering plastics. This report was presented at Polymer '91 International Symposium, Melbourne, Australia, 10-15 February 1991. |
