heal.abstract The current state of the art on the analysis of wake effects in wind farms lacks prediction methods capable of providing reasonably accurate results under low or at moderate computational cost. In order to fill this gap, we propose in the present paper a multi-parametric wake model based on a combination of existing vortex, viscous and similarity models. Herein we focus on the viscous part of the whole scheme. In particular the effect of the initial velocity profile on the wake development is investigated. For the validation of the model, results are presented for the case of the Nibe wind turbine. © 1992. en
