Nyquist premodulation filtering is proposed to improve the BER performance in digital transmission, when spectral economy is required. The efficiency of systems employing Nyquist premodulation filtering is examined and a performance comparison is presented between the proposed modulation scheme and GMSK involving Gaussian premodulation filtering. |
