heal.abstract We perform numerical simulations of the three-dimensional spin system with competing interaction that has been proposed in Refs. 1-3 as a model of random surfaces with gonihedric action. For the system with a self-intersection coupling constant k equal to one we observe the second-order phase transition at the temperature Beta(c) similar or equal to 0.44. We suggest the full set of order parameters, which characterize the structure of the vacuum states and of the phase transition. en
