The present research was initiated with the aim to provide data on the quality of leachate as well as on the leachate leakage from the landfill base taking into account several top cover design structures. The results showed that the polluting load of the leachate under examination is quite high. Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance (HELP) model was applied for the quantification of water balance parameters after site reclamation. The results obtained concerning the various parameters that are involved in the water balance are at normal and expected levels. |
