All-optical Boolean XOR logic is demonstrated with a three terminal fibre Sagnac interferometer employing a semiconductor optical amplifier. Full duly cycle operation at 10GHz is shown and low pattern dependence has been achieved on a pseudo-data pattern at 10Gbit/s with low switching energy. |
