An online data reconciliation system (DRS) has been developed for the diesel production process of the Hellenic Aspropyrgos Refinery SA, Greece. The new system successfully recognizes and prompts the operator of malfunctions of specific instrumentation. It assesses the operational performance of field instrumentation and creates proper calibration curves for problematic instrumentation using a data reconciliation scheme based on overall mass balance, mathematical model of the refinery's diesel process scheme. |
