heal.abstract Based on room temperature micro-Raman measurements carried out in powder samples of (YBa2Cu3Ox)-O-16,18, with 6.4 < x < 7.0 and very homogeneous oxygenation, the formation of domains and microstructures was investigated. By using several excitation wavelengths on the same microcrystallites at least three phases have been found. The deconvolution of all Raman spectra into three bands provides evidence that they originate from discrete phases. The existence of a phase in the overdoped region, discovered from the softening of the in-phase mode, is confirmed for both oxygen isotopes, based on the sudden increase at the optimum doping of the relative Raman scattering intensities of the in-phase to the apex phonons.
