heal.abstract For the solutions of comb-shaped poly(methacrylates) containing chlorine or iodine atoms at the para position of the end aromatic ring of the phenyl benzoate mesogenic group (solvent, toluene), the dielectric loss factor was measured in the frequency range 1.5-12 MHz and at temperatures from -20 to +80 degreesC. Four regions of relaxation dipole losses were detected, three of which are ascribed to the local forms of mobility, while the fourth region exhibits the signs of cooperativity and is assigned to the movements of mesogenic fragments in aggregates, An increase in the bulkiness of a substituent on passing from a chlorine- to an iodine-substituted polymer provides evidence that an interchain dynamic correlation exists between all local kinetic fragments of the monomer unit. en
