The clock recovery circuit for optical packets was studied. The circuit used a Fabry-Perot etalon and a nonlinear UNI gate and was capable of acquiring the clock signal within a few bits. It was found that the novel clock recovery scheme could be used for packet switched networks and was appropriate for all-optical switching and routing operations. |
