A general algorithm for coverage prediction for local multipoint distribution systems is presented. It is based on area-averaged rainfall statistics and a correction factor dependent on the spatial inhomogeneity of the rainfall medium. A validation of the proposed method based on experimental results concerning Chilbolton. United Kingdom, is made and coverage prediction examples are given. |
