heal.abstract A thermally sound composite material, consisting of polycrystalline diamond and silicon carbide, namely the AKTM(R) aggregate, was developed at the Institute for Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Ukraine. Its improved physical and mechanical properties make it suitable for a wide range of material removal operations.
