heal.abstract The knowledge and Database Systems Lab (KDBSL) of Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept. in the national Technical University of Athens is involved in theoretical applied research in the area of Dtabases and Information Systems. The lab has been involved in many research projects supported by the EU, international institutions, Greek organizations, the Greek Government and industrial companies. The activities of the lab includes using wavelet transforms, which is a powerful tool for constructing concise synopses of massive multi-dimensional data sets and rapidly changing data streams. The research group is interested in research on modeling and operational issues of databases and data warehouses. The team is currently working in the development of a precise query answering prototype, named PRÉCIS. en
