heal.abstract This paper presents a method for the identification of substation topology by the generalized state estimation approach. In generalized state estimation, analog and topological measurements are processed as a single interacting data set. The generalized state estimation expands the conventional measurement model by incorporating the breaker statuses and their active and reactive power flows as continuous state variables. For each breaker additional pseudo-measurements are introduced. Hypothesis testing for detection and identification of bad analog and topological measurements is used.
