Cross section measurements of the Hf-174(n,2n) Hf-173 reaction have been carried out at the VdG Tandem accelerator of NCSR "Demokritos" in Athens, Greece in the neutron energy range 9.8-11.5 MeV, using the activation technique. Statistical model calculations based on the Hauser-Feshbach theory have also been performed by using the code EMPIRE-II with different sets of input parameters. The predictions were compared with the data of the present work as well as with data from literature. (c) 2007 Published by Elsevier B.V. |
