heal.abstract |
A newly proposed approximate solution to the problem of lateral waves over planar Earth is checked in its asymptotic range for large distances from the source. Upon analyzing the integral expression of the exact solution, it is shown that the proposed solution introduces an error factor. This factor becomes negligible for large values of Earth's complex relative permittivity. © 2009 IEEE. |
