A procedure is described suitable for determining iron and gallium down to the levels present in 99.999% pure aluminium. Copper, cobalt, manganese, and lanthanum do not interfere. A single determination takes about two hours. The precision of the method is within 0.1 μg iron at the 2-μg iron level and within 0.4 μg of gallium at the 2-μg gallium level per gram of metal. © 1965 Springer-Verlag. |
