In the present paper three theorems are developed to merge two columns in a cutpoint cellular array into one, depending on the sequence of cutpoint indices in each of the columns. An algorithm is then proposed for realizing arbitrary switching functions with a cutpoint cellular array, based on a set of rules derived from the above theorems. The algorithm is |
