heal.abstract	School time-tables are very often characterised by a requirements matrix specifying the number of times a class meets a teacher over the scheduling cycle. In this paper a substitute matrix to the requirements matrix is proposed, with complete evidence of savings in computer effort, more than in other procedures producing a final school time-table; in addition some real applications based on the proposed algorithm are given. © 1979.	en
