In this paper a dislocation approach is developed for solving certain three-dimensional boundary-value probléms in an elastic medium. The application of this type of approach is demonstrated by presenting the solutions for certain axisymmetric boundary-value problems for the half-space to which this approach has not been previously applied, as well as to three-dimensional crack problems of arbitrary planar shape. Proofs for these analytic applications are given. © 1983. |
