heal.abstract	We study the production of two opposite-side, large-pT photons or pions in pp collisions within perturbative QCD, taking into account higher-order corrections (K-factors). The cross-section ratio γ π0π0 agrees with recent ISR data for pT{greater-than or approximate}1 GeV, the pion fragmentation functions being consistent with ππ production data. However, recent γγ data clearly exceed the predictions for Mγγ{less-than or approximate}5 GeV. © 1987.	en
