The equations of the equatorial motion of a charged particle in a Magnetic-Binary system are given in two different forms, according to the two descriptions of this constrained problem. The existence of periodic orbit is examined too, by means of the relevant theorem of Whittaker. Finally, the discussion of the symmetry of such orbits provides a criterion for detection the models of a Magnetic-Binary system in which symmetric (equatorial) motions are achievable. © 1988 Kluwer Academic Publishers. |
