heal.abstract | We report on the pressure dependence of the luminescence spectrum of Zn1-xMnxS for x ≤ 0.5 at room temperature. The main band at 17200 cm-1 exhibits a red shift with pressure at a rate of about 270 cm-1/GPa. The first-order phase transition exhibited in ZnS is also observed in Zn1-xMnxS. The transition pressure is found to decrease with increasing Mn concentration. © 1988. | en |
