The production planning of an open pit lignite mine, as of any mining operation in general, is influenced by a series of factors. Of great importance among these factors is the operating time of the equipment used in the production process. In this paper we use applied statistical methods (specifically comparison tests) to study the net operating time of some excavation branches of the Ptolemais lignite mining district. Thus, it is hoped that the paper will contribute to estimating and predicting equipment performance in a more accurate way. |
