heal.abstract In this paper we introduce a nonlinear model for the location of obnoxious facilities causing atmospheric pollution that minimizes the total pollutant burden on a system of urban sites. The effect of meteorological conditions (mainly the winds) is appropriately integrated into the model. The proposed model performs a branch-and-bound like geometrical search to approximate optimal locations to any desired degree of accuracy. © 1992. en
