Finite differences seepage analysis for the permeable foundation under a concrete dam is presented, along with the effect of varying the depth of the grout curtain and providing drain holes for the stilling basin. A parametric study was carried out to evaluate the flow under a 27 m-high spillway dam and the uplift pressures at the stilling-basin slab in two dimensional steady-state seepage. |
