heal.abstract	We give some results on the excess of Hadamard matrices. We show that for each positive integer k, there are: (i) Hadamard matrices of order 2(4k + 1)4k with excess 2(4k + 1)(4(2k) + 8k). (ii) Hadamard matrices of order 4k+1 (4k + 1 + r) with excess 4k+1 (4k + 1 + r)(2k(c + 1) + 4k), where r is the length of Golay sequences C, D with row sums c and d respectively.	en
