This article describes the essential features of the transmission-line modeling (TLM) technique and its application to the simulation of the behavior of microwave circuits. Emphasis is placed on presenting the general modeling approach and developments to the model to deal with practical microwave problems. Computational techniques and requirements are discussed with reference to dispersion, coarseness errors, and infinite boundaries. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. |
