heal.abstract A robustness measure is given based on the Gastinel-Kahan theorem investigating stability conditions of discrete perturbed closed-loop systems. This measure is used to evaluate the robustness of internal model control structure for plant-model mismatch. The control algorithm is a one-step-ahead predictive algorithm punishing the jumps in the actuating signal. Robustness versus the punishing weighting factor is investigated. An illustrative example is given. en
