heal.abstract Dielectric properties of the guest-host PS/DR1 system has been studied by the AC dielectric spectroscopy method at frequencies from 1 Hz to 0.5 MHz and by the TSD current method from -160 to 07deg;C. The relaxation peaks at infra-low frequencies from 10-5 to 10-2 Hz were also calculated using Hamon's approximation. Three relaxation processes (β, γ and ρ) were identified from TSDC peaks, while the ε″(f) dependence showed a non-Debye α-peak narrowing with temperature. The activation energy of a relaxation appeared to be 2.57 eV, while that of the β process was 0.52 eV. Temperature dependence of the relaxation time agreed with the Williams-Landel-Ferry model. The ε″(f) peaks were fitted to Havriliak-Negami's expression and corresponding distribution parameters were obtained. en
