An algorithm is presented for determination of the locus of maximal equivalent stress for beams under oblique bending and torsion. The beam can have an arbitrary cross section. The torsion stress is comput ed with boundary elements. With the arc length of the boundary a one-dimensional problem is obtained. The algorithm is embedded into a CAD system. Test computations demonstrate the high accuracy of the new algorithm. |
