heal.abstract | In this paper DSC and XRD are used in order to record the sintering reactions and identify the related products in cement raw meals. Samples of varying reactivity, due to different fineness or/and different chemical composition are studied. The clinkering reactions were recorded by means of a Differential Scanning Calorimeter, while the compounds formed at specific temperatures, related to the recorded reactions, were identified, in cooled samples, by means of X-Ray Diffraction. The combination of these two techniques reveals the relationship between the DSC peaks and the formation of certain compounds. Besides, it is established that the shape of the DSC curve can be related, qualitatively, with the cement raw meal reactivity. | en |
