A multi-parameter analysis of surface finish imparted to Ck60 steel plates by electro-discharge machining (EDM) is presented. The interrelationship between surface texture parameters and process parameters is emphasized. An increased number of parameters is studied including amplitude, spacing, hybrid, as well as random process and fractal parameters.
