A consortium of six partners from three EC countries was recently involved in an international BriteEuram project entitled ″New Materials, Design and Construction Techniques for Underground Structures in Soft Rock and Clay Media′. The primary aim was to investigate the behavior of wet-mix plain and steel-fiber-reinforced sprayed concrete (SFRS) for use as tunnel lining. The resultant data were analyzed in detail. |
