In the present work, a detailed study of the C-nat(d, d(0)) reaction is presented for Ed, lab = 900-2000 keV (in steps of 25 keV) and for detector angles between 145 degrees and 170 degrees (in steps of 5 degrees). This reaction complements the implementation of the C-12(d,p(0))C-13 one, when RBS/NRA spectra are required for carbon profiling. The results are compared to those already existing in literature and an attempt is made to explain the occurring differences. A discussion also follows, concerning the existence of resonances and the reaction mechanisms involved. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. |
