Third generation (3G) mobile systems provide the ability to simultaneously transfer both voice data and non-voice data including video telephony, and have the capacity to support a great number of voice and data customers. In this paper we describe how 3G systems can enhance the delivery of healthcare, and illustrate the diverse ways in which they are being used in clinical settings. © The Journal on Information Technology in Healthcare. |
