If one accepts that climate change is caused by excess carbon dioxide emissions mainly related to excessive energy consumption, reducing it is clearly one very useful way of mitigating climate change. The present work explores how mitigation as well as adaptation strategies for climate change might be transformed by enlisting the help of nanotechnology, the most significant breakthrough technology of the new century.
