heal.abstract |
The electromagnetic radiation scattered by a conductive rectangular plate of infinitesimal thickness covered by a dielectric parallelopiped is analysed for a horizontal Hertzian dipole excitation or a plane wave incidence. Using a global range Galerkin technique, the unknown electric field inside the dielectric layer is described as a superposition of plane waves while, in describing the current density on the conductive plate surface, either Fourier-exponential or Chebyshev series type finite term expansions are employed. Numerical results are computed and presented for several scatterer dimensions and excitation types. |
